Radiesse

What does Radiesse treat?

One of the longer-lasting dermal fillers is Radiesse, which is comprised of calcium hydroxylapatatite (CaHA) particles suspended in a water-based gel. CaHA is a biocompatible substance found naturally in the body.

Radiesse Treatment

No allergy test is needed for Radiesse. The filler is injected into the skin with a very fine needle, usually with the use of a local anesthetic.

What you can expect

You’ll probably experience some redness and swelling for a day or so. The Radiesse CaHA microspheres will immediately increase facial volume, giving your skin a smoother, softer appearance.

Over time, the gel carrier will be absorbed by your body, but the tiny CaHA microspheres will remain, encouraging collagen growth. This process—and thus the results of the treatment—may continue for up to a year or more, until the CaHA degrades and is safely absorbed and metabolized by the body.
